The newly inducted Staff members will go through the second session on the Effective Use of the Smart_Class modules coming Saturday between 9:0am and 1:00pm.

The session will be conducted at the GST Road campus by the Resource Coordinator for the Smart_Class.

Mr Arun from Motivation Hub - Singapore who had earlier in the month conducted a workshop for the Teachers will conduct a one-hour session for the students in Std 9, 10 and 11 on How to be an Effective Learner.

This will be held on Wednesday, 30th June 2010 at the Seminar Hall at the Gerugambakkam at 9:30am.Campus

Scholastic India has organised an Author Interaction with Mr.Ansumani Ruddra for the Students of Std 7 and 8 on Tuesday, 29th June at 9:00am at the Seminar Hall at the Gerugambakkam Campus.

The students  will have an interactive session  Mr.Ansumani Ruddra who has authored titles like 'Banana Republic - The Enemy of My Enemy-II', "The Enemy of My Enemy" and "Superhero".

The Book Banana Republic - The Enemy of My Enemy - Part II is to be released on June 25th 2010 at the Landmark.

Mr Mani  is also part of the Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai.

Mr Arun from Singapore will conduct a workshop on 'How to be an Effective Teacher' for all Staff members.

This will be held on Saturday, 19th June at the GST Road Campus.  The workshop will be for a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes between 9:00am and 10:30am.

26 staff members will be taken through the Orientation of the ISO Internal Auditing process.

This session will be conducted by Mrs Rukmani Shreedharan.

A session on What is Creativity and How to be a Creative Teacher was conducted for the Staff Members assembled at the Gerugambakkam campus.

The teachers who have been newly appointed for this academic year were taken through an Orientation Program on the Smart_Class and its Operation and Effectiveness.

The session was conducted by Mr Venkat from Smart_Class who took the teachers through the orientation program, the plethora of Smart_Class Modules available for the teachers to enhance the teaching learning process and also gave them hands on experience of handling and presenting the same.

This session was conducted at the Gerugambakkam Campus between 10:00 am and 2:00pm.

3rd June 2010 will be a double whammy session.

Nursery and Primary Teachers and teachers handling Math till Class 8 will attend a workshop on the Effective Use of the Math Lab to be conducted in the Jr Math Lab at Gerugambakkam by none other than Mr Ramachandran. Session timing- 9:00am to 1:00pm.

All other subject teachers will adjoin in the Jr Computer Lab to learn How to Make and Present Interesting Power Point Presentations.  This session will be conducted between 9:00 and 1:00 by the Computer Science Department Faculty members.

Dr. Nirmala Pandit will conduct a session for the GST and the Gerugambakkam Staff members on How to identify and help a child with  learning disabilities.

This session will be conducted at the Seminar hall from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday 2nd June 2010.

The Nursery Teachers will go through a session on Getting the Tune Right between 9:00and 11:00am at the Teacher Training Centre at the GST Road Campus.

This session will be jointly conducted by the Western Music Masters of the GST and Gerugambakkam Schools.

The music session will be followed by a session on 'Effective Teaching Methodologies as used in other Countries'.  This session will be facilitated by Mrs Shalini Prabhakar who has undergone the course in an Elementary School in LA USA.

Teachers handling Classes 1 to 8 will meet with the Subject mentors to understand the Syllabus for the whole year.  They will also be given information on the I term Syllabus and the Portions for the 1st Cycle Test.

The workshops for the day will begin at 9:00am and end by 1:00pm.

A full day workshop will be conducted at the Seminar Hall at Gerugambakkam for all Staff Members from GST, Gerugambakkam and OMR on THE IMPORTANCE OF POORNAVIDYA FOR BOTH THE TEACHER AND THE TAUGHT.

This workshop is being specially conducted by a Swamini who is flying down from Swami Dayanand Saraswati's Ashram in Rishikesh.

Timings: 9:00 to 5:00pm

An Orientation Program will be conducted for the Parents of the newly admitted children into Pre-KG on Saturday 29th May 2010.

This will be held at the GST Road Campus.

Timings: 9:00am to 12:00noon.

All Nursery Staff Members will be present in the GST Campus for this.

Staff members handling Classes 1 to 10 will assemble at the Seminar Hall at the Gerugambakkam Campus for a workshop on UNDERSTANDING OF THE ISO PROCESSES AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SAME.

This workshop will be jointly conducted by Mrs Rukmani Shreedharan - ISO Coordinator and Mrs Bhavani Bhaskar Asst Vice Principal on Saturday, 29th May 2010.

Mrs Vijji Mahalingam and her team of teachers from the PSBB Senior Secondary School - KK Nagar will conduct a workshop for all levels in Rubrics and Essentials of Evaluation.

This will be held on Friday, 28th May 2010 at the Gerugambakkam Campus. 

The workshop will begin with an opening session at the Seminar Hall and will be followed by subject wise break up with Mentors in the assigned rooms.

A workshop on understanding the Leave Policies and Principles of the School will be conducted on Wednesday, 26th May by Mrs Rukmani Mothilal - Academic Advisor, The PSBB Group of Schools.

This will be held between 9:00am and 1:00pm at the Seminar Hall at Gerugambakkam for all Staff - both GST and Gerugambakkam.

A workshop on Assertive Discipline will be conducted for the Staff members of GST and Gerugambakkam on Tuesday 25th May at the Seminar Hall at Gerugambakkam by Mrs Chandra Nagarajan - Vice Principal - PSBB Senior Secondary School, T P Road.
